Keyboardist, Nicky Brown, who is steeped in the gospel tradition and also a fine vocalist, creates soundscapes that collide and combine with Alex Wilson’s angular Latin Jazz piano style to create a unique sound and experience for the audience. From beautiful ballads, to virtuosic soloing to moments with the audience as a gospel choir, this will be a night to remember and a coming together in unity, much needed in current times. Music heals and inspires: this is the bespoke mission of these two wonderful musicians.

Alex was born in 1971 in the town of Belper in Derbyshire, UK, however he spent the first year of his life living in Freetown, Sierra Leone where his grandfather, Barthes Wilson, was Minister of Education. Following his grandfather’s death, Alex’s family returned to the UK for 9 years, followed by 6 years in Vienna. Alex then finished his high school education at the International School of Geneva, by which time he had discovered his passion for jazz and the piano. He went on to study Electronic Engineering at the Universities of York (UK) and Santa Barbara (USA), while maintaining a parallel career as a student musician.
